These Terms of Use (the "Terms") set out the conditions for using the iOS app "STOP GÜGU" (the "App") provided by the STOP GÜGU Team (the "Operator"). By using the App you agree to these Terms.
The App listens for snoring through the iPhone microphone and gently prompts you to change position with an Apple Watch vibration. An Apple Watch is required for the vibration signal. Detection results can be reviewed the next morning.
The Operator may add, change or discontinue features of the App without prior notice.
The App is not a medical device and is not intended to diagnose, treat or prevent any condition. Detection results are reference information based on sound analysis, and their accuracy or completeness is not guaranteed.
If you have health concerns such as sleep apnea, please consult a doctor regardless of what the App reports.
The App uses the microphone while you sleep. If you share the room with someone, please use the App with their understanding. No audio leaves the device, but the App listens to all sound in the room.
Keep the iPhone charged and within range of your mouth while monitoring. Depending on device settings and placement, detection or the signal may not work.
Features including the vibration signal are provided as a monthly auto-renewing subscription. The first 7 days are free, and you will not be charged if you cancel during that period. After the free period, your Apple ID payment method is charged automatically and the subscription renews every month until cancelled.
Purchases, renewals, cancellations and refunds are handled by Apple and governed by Apple's terms. You can cancel from Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions on your iPhone.
To improve detection accuracy, the App may send the following data to the Operator. None of it contains audio.
The data carries only a random identifier generated per device. It does not include your name, Apple ID or any hardware identifier. See the Privacy Policy for details.
All rights in the App and its contents (software, design, characters, text and so on) belong to the Operator or their rightful owners. You may not use them beyond what these Terms allow.
When using the App you must not:
The Operator does not guarantee that the App will always work correctly, that it will detect every instance of snoring, or that the signal will stop snoring. Except in cases of willful misconduct or gross negligence, the Operator is not liable for any damage arising from use of, or inability to use, the App.
The Operator may change these Terms when necessary. Significant changes will be announced in the App or at stopgugu.com. Continued use of the App after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan. Any dispute relating to the App shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Tokyo District Court in the first instance.
